About #1 Home Care Services
Created on the belief that every family deserves care that's more compliant, more affordable, more patient-focused, and more caregiver-specific than the industry standard.
Our Story
After close to 30 years in home care combined, our leadership team — including Amanda Calisti, Brett Solomon, and Bryan Solomon — saw how care was being managed in other agencies: compliance that had drifted, families treated as case numbers, caregivers set up to fail. So they created #1 Home Care Services to do it differently — more affordable, more compliant, more patient-focused, more caregiver-specific.
The guiding belief is simple: it's easier and smarter to retain every client than to chase new ones. That's why every investment we make — in caregiver training, in family communication, in the technology that backs up our coordinators — goes back into the families we already serve, not marketing our way to growth.
#1 Home Care Services proudly serves families across the state of Florida. Headquartered in Boca Raton — where the first regional office was developed — the company has since opened offices across the state, with a dedicated care coordinator and nurse on call for every region. Every caregiver on the team is hand-selected, rigorously vetted, and personally matched to each client. The company remains privately held and locally operated, so every decision comes back to one question: is this what's best for my loved one?
Our Mission & Values
Everything we do is guided by four core values that shape how we hire, how we train, and how we care.
Genuine empathy is the foundation of every care plan we build.
24-hour on-call, non-outsourced, individualized care — the kind of reliability families can count on every single day.
No two families are alike. Every patient, every family, every story, and every journey are different — and we honor that in every care plan.
Full access to caregiver information and developed care plans, with individualized coordinators and nurses on call for each patient in every region we serve.
What sets us apart
The #1 Difference
Our approach rests on four pillars. Here's a closer look at what makes each one work.
Personalized Matching
Every patient, every family's story and concerns are different — and need to be treated as such.
Our matching process goes far beyond checking credentials. We conduct in-depth consultations to understand your loved one's daily routine, personality, hobbies, and communication style. Then we hand-select a caregiver whose temperament and skills align with those needs. If the match doesn't feel right, we'll find a better fit — no questions asked.
Vetted Caregivers
Every caregiver meets the state minimum — and we go well above it with ongoing training, dementia certification, personal liability insurance, and enrollment in our caregiver-monitoring system.
The state minimum for a home health aide is a Level 2 background check, CPR, first aid, bloodborne pathogen training, and self-medication training. We require all of that — and then we add: personal liability insurance, a current dementia certificate, adherence to our sensory redirection protocol, enrollment in our caregiver platform, and ongoing educational workshops. Fewer than 5% of applicants make it through.
Flexible Scheduling
Care as little as a one-hour visit all the way to 24-hour care — we build the schedule around your family, not the other way around.
Care needs change, and your schedule should change with them. Whether it's a single one-hour visit, a few mornings a week, full-time daily support, or 24-hour live-in care, we design a schedule that fits your family's life. Need to adjust hours on short notice? Our care coordinators are available to make changes quickly so there's never a gap in support.
Family Communication
We keep families informed with proactive, ongoing updates based on what our team sees and hears — plus direct office and cell numbers for the leaders managing your care.
We believe families should never be left wondering. Our caregivers provide detailed visit summaries, and our care coordinators proactively reach out to share updates on your loved one's well-being, mood, and any changes in condition. You'll always have direct office and cell phone numbers for the team leaders managing your services — no call centers, no runaround.
